Elekio (US site used in the link cos it's in English) are a Swedish maker of Olympic and Power bars. The image is of their heavy (434kg) Emperor set. Their bars and competition sets are highly regarded.

Mac barbell are the makers (sites being redone so no link) of the famous or even 'in-famous' Texas Power Bar. Best used for deadlifting and with some seriously biting knurling.

York Barbell are among the oldest of the current well-known mob still making competition quality barbells and plates.

Finally but by no means least of the more well-known group we have Ivanko. They've been pushing their stainless steel bar for a while now and I've read some of their blurb backing it up and it seems spot on.
There are some other, smaller mind, great companies out there. China had a completely new set used in the Olympic games and I'm pretty sure there's still a couple of Swedish rivals to Elekio. If you think I missed a worthy name send me the info.
